At the Shelter
Pets awaiting new homes need extra TLC! Working in the shelter includes exercising and socializing dogs or cats, restocking kennel supplies, kennel cleaning, laundry, and dishes. Additionally, the front desk needs assistance with customer service such as answering phones, greeting clients, and clerical duties.
Volunteers work with minimum supervision. Volunteers working with dogs need to be physically able to handle very large, enthusiastic dogs.
Doggie Day Out
Second Chance Animal Sanctuary is developing a program to allow pet lovers to help in a very special way. Our program will allow our regular volunteers the opportunity to drive a pooch around the town and go exploring! It is one of the most positive and impactful ways to help a shelter dog and will allow them the chance to be seen for adoption in the community. Stay tuned!
