  • Parker (Neutered Male)

Meet Parker, a sweet, loving boy who has been part of our family since he was just a few weeks old. He has a history of bladder stones and has had surgery in the past, but with supplements and a special diet, he’s been doing well over the years. Parker thrives in a calm, adult-only environment and has never had issues with other adults. He does not do well around small children, as he can become skittish or uncomfortable with toddlers playing around him.

Parker lives with another male Catahoula/Lab mix and generally gets along very well, with only a few minor scuffles over the years that seemed related to dominance. He has also done well with smaller dogs in the past. He is house-trained but may have accidents during bladder flare-ups, so he needs a home where his medical needs can be managed.

Parker loves to run and play outside, enjoys commands like sit and lay down (though he can be a little stubborn at times), and will alert bark at people walking near the yard. He’s a big baby at heart who just wants love, attention, and a family who can make him the focus he deserves. Parker needs a home where he can feel safe, have space to play, and receive the care he needs for his ongoing medical condition.

  • Koda

Meet Koda! She’s a sweet and loving 1.5-year-old with a curious spirit and a playful heart. Koda has plenty of energy and loves to keep herself busy with her toys—though fair warning, she’s a champion toy “destroyer”! She’s well-behaved and doesn’t get into anything that isn’t hers.

Koda can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and will win you over with her affectionate nature. She gets along well with kids and other dogs, and while we haven’t tested her with cats, she’s likely to be just fine.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will keep you smiling, Koda might be the perfect match!

  • Moose (Neutered Male)

From our rescue partner, Helpless Hounds:

Meet Moose - our Moose Man. Moose is a sweet, sensitive hound with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He bonds deeply with his people and truly wants to be part of everyday life. Moose is house trained, crate trained, and happiest when he is inside with his humans, soaking up attention and affection. True to his hound roots, Moose loves his walks and takes his sniffing responsibilities seriously. He is well behaved on leash, enjoys being out and about with his person, and is very expressive. Moose is a very vocal guy and needs a home where a talkative hound is not just tolerated, but appreciated. Moose is smart and enjoys learning. He knows sit, down, and shake, and responds well to treats and praise. He is affectionate, playful, and quick to return love, making him a really rewarding companion for someone who enjoys an interactive, engaged dog. Moose has been with Helpless Hounds since 02-24-2024- 696 days at the time of writing. He originally came to us under a unique situation where his owner intended to reclaim him, and we agreed that Moose had previously had a very good life. In the meantime, our rescue committed fully to keeping Moose safe, healthy, and happy while that possibility was explored. For nearly two years, all of Moose's care, food, boarding, and veterinary needs have been covered by Helpless Hounds, volunteers, and donations, with an entire fund we nicknamed "Moose Juice" created just for him. While we truly hoped for reunification, it ultimately was not possible. Now, we are ready to focus on what Moose needs most- a permanent, stable home where he can finally settle in and belong. Moose is fully vetted, neutered, and ready for adoption. He will do best with someone who has enough space for Moose to run around and no neighbors to complain about Moose's shouting for joy while he does it. Someone who enjoys daily walks, understands hounds, and has a home where a dog who is loud, loving, and full of personality can truly thrive. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate friend and are ready to give Moose the forever home he has been waiting for, he is sooooo ready to meet you.

  • Littlest (Spayed Female)

We recently found a sweet pup who was dumped near our property in Noble (near Etowah), and we’ve been caring for her while helping her find a loving forever home. Littlest is about 2 years old, weighs around 22 pounds, and is slightly underweight. This affectionate girl is spayed, dewormed, up to date on rabies and DHLPP vaccines, and heartworm negative, though she still needs a few other vaccinations. She knows basic commands like sit and stay, signals when she needs to go outside, rides well in a vehicle, and happily sleeps in a crate when given a treat. She is extremely gentle, food- and treat-motivated, and has adapted well to living with two female Great Danes. This pup would thrive in a home with someone who is home often and willing to feed her slowly, as she tends to eat quickly when excited. She is loving, friendly, and ready to find a family who will give her the care and attention she deserves.

  • Zoey (Spayed Female)

Meet Zoey, a sweet and quiet 7-year-old girl looking for a loving new home due to a move. We’ve had her since she was just 6 weeks old, and she’s been a gentle, affectionate companion ever since. Zoey isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she loves to curl up in your lap and hang out, soaking up attention at her own pace. We hate to see her go, but our goal is to find her a family who will give her the love and care she deserves. Please feel free to reach out for more information or with any questions!

  • Doodle (Neutered Male)

From our rescue partner, Helpless Hounds:

Doodle is a handsome pup currently sitting in a rural shelter, waiting for a foster or adopter through our rescue. We don't have him in our physical care yet, which means we don't have a full picture of his personality- and honestly, that's probably part of why he's been overlooked. What we do know is that Doodle is sweet, people-friendly, and has been patiently waiting since 07/11/2025- 192 days- with literally one brief inquiry in that time. We're not sure why. He's a great-looking dog with a gentle presence who just hasn't had anyone stop long enough to ask about him. If someone steps up to foster, we can learn more about who Doodle really is as a family dog, get better photos, and give him the chance to show what he's all about. Until then, he's kind of a question mark- but a hopeful one. If you're open to fostering or adopting a dog who hasn't had much of a chance yet, Doodle could really use you. This guy is one of those dogs where you get to discover who he is as you go. No long list of labels, no carefully curated bio- just a dog, a home, and the process of figuring each other out- and helping him figure himself out! For the right person, that's not a downside. It's kind of the fun part.
