Each of the pets listed through our Pet Connect: Rehome and Adopt Program may come from a loving family, a concerned individual, or even a shelter or rescue working to find long-term placement. No matter their origin, these animals all share one thing in common—they need a safe, stable, and loving home. Some are here due to unexpected life changes, others because their current caregivers are doing everything they can to make sure their pet has a better future. By choosing to adopt through this platform, you’re offering more than a home—you’re offering hope, dignity, and a new beginning. Every profile you see represents someone’s commitment to doing what’s right for an animal they care deeply about, and we’re grateful to be a part of that journey.

Safe rehoming. Real love. New beginnings.

  • Socks (Neutered Male)

Socks was found in my driveway when he was approximately four weeks old. His mother had abandoned him because he was ill. I nursed him back to Health. He is a very sweet cat. Very shy with other people. Socks requires a lot of attention. And loves to lie beside you at night . He does sometimes give little bites of affection which do not hurt but sure he will grow out of it as he ages. He is extremely clean and adjusts easily to any litter box. He is used to dogs and doesn’t seem bothered by them. He is two years old, still full of energy but knows the word no. I am 71 years old, moving to a place where I cannot take animals and desperately seeking a good home for him. Please consider helping Socks!! I will have to put him to sleep if I don’t find a home for him by the end of January.

  • Abraham (Neutered Male)

Abraham is a handsome dog with a heart as big as his smile. He recently completed the Friends for Folks program, a special training partnership where shelter dogs live and train with inmates at a correctional facility. Over the course of several weeks, Abraham worked one-on-one with his handler to learn manners, basic obedience, and how to be the best companion possible.

Now he’s back at the shelter, showing off his skills and waiting for the one thing he hasn’t earned yet — a forever home. Abraham is playful, affectionate, and full of personality. He loves making new friends, whether that means wagging his tail to greet you or leaning in for snuggles. With his mix of silly charm and sweet nature, he’s the kind of dog who can brighten any day.

As our longest-stay dog, Abraham has been waiting patiently for someone to choose him. He’s eager to show just how loyal and loving he can be once he’s part of a family.

  • Mac (Neutered Male)

    Current on Vaccinations and neutered
Mac is a striking male black and white Pointer, built with the lean, athletic grace typical of his breed. His coat is short, sleek, and mostly white, marked with bold black patches.

Mac carries himself with purpose. His long legs and deep chest give him the stamina of a true field dog, and his powerful tail, held straight out when he's focused, signals his readiness to work. He moves with a fluid gait — elegant yet energetic — whether he's scanning a field or trotting at your side.

Friendly but focused, Mac has a loyal temperament. Around familiar people, he's affectionate and calm, often leaning gently into a leg for attention. In the field, though, he becomes all business — nose to the ground, muscles taut, tail rigid as he locks into that classic Pointer stance at the scent of game.

Mac’s personality is a blend of sensitivity and drive — intelligent, eager to please, and happiest when he has a job to do or space to roam. Whether he’s curled up after a long day or standing proud in the wind, Mac is a handsome, devoted companion through and through.

Mac is with El Reno Animal Shelter.
