Featured Dog

Hey there. I'm Natasia. Where I go fun follows. I'm about 1 1/2 years old pyrenese mix. My buddy here calls me big and goofy. I think its because I know how to to entertain myself when I'm outside. When I get running around my pen and I can make little dust devils. I like hard rubber toys and will play fetch. I also like to turn fetch into a good game of keep-away. I'm 65 lbs of fun on the run. I may have to learn how to be a little more delicate around toddlers, but I think I would enjoy playing with them. A toddler's brakes are like mine: neither of us can stop on a dime. So come on down and see me. I'll either be outside in my pen saying hello as soon as you arrive or chewing on a nylabone in my run inside. Looking forward to meeting you.

Featured Cat

Levi is a 5 year old domestic short hair that was returned.  He's adjusting slowly to being back here.  He'll give the right people some lovin if given enough time to get comfortable with you.  He loves his ears and neck scratched, but who doesn't.  He's not a picky eater, but he is a slow eater, so you have to make sure other cats don't shoo him away from his food.  He doesn't yet socialize with the other cats, but he has no problem with them being around.  He can be sort of persnickety when picking him up until he gets to know you. Come on in and check Levi out. He'd be more than happy to train you on how to be his purrfect, furever family.

About Us

Second Chance Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit no-kill shelter. We receive no city, state or federal funds. The shelter runs ONLY on donations. Our mission is to Give abandoned dogs and cats a second chance at a forever home. All our animals are vet checked, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated appropriate to age, de-wormed and kept on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Our dogs are heartworm and tick disease tested and our cats are FIV/Felv tested. We do not rescue animals from the public, we rescue dogs and cats from local shelters.

We house nearly 100 dogs and cats, while finding homes for over 600 animals annually. Our adoption goal for this year is 700+ animals.
