Hi everyone! Ya'll probably remember me by the name Kimmy, but my new name is Charley. I was adopted almost a year ago, and since then I have grown a lot! I was just a shy, timid puppy when I got adopted and I have become a playful, loving, sometimes mischievous almost grown dog. When I first moved to my new house I got in trouble for chewing up her shoes and books and I even managed to eat a whole couch little by little. They soon figured out that bones and PLENTY of exercise was the remedy to my chewing problem. Other than that, I have been a great listener and an even greater friend to my mommy.
I used to live in Norman with my aunt Kylie and my best friend Sophi, I had a big backyard and the neighbors dog became one of my good friends. At the end of the school year, my mom and I moved to my grammy and papi's house in Fletcher, Oklahoma. They have a lot of land out there so I have plenty of room to run around and wreak havoc. I spend my days exploring the land, catching june bugs, and playing with the other family members (Sophia, Troy and Witten Kitten). I love it when my mommy takes me on walks and to the store with her. I miss my friends in Norman but I love living in Fletcher with all of my family! Thank you Second Chance for helping me find this great family!
Love, Charley Lynn Carter

Hi there! Four weeks ago today we adopted Cody Kitty, and he's been a wonderful and welcome addition to our family. When we first walked into the cat room at the shelter, he seemed to be waiting for us, and we fell in love with him right away. He adjusted quickly to life in his new home, and now spends his days cuddling in our laps or napping in his favorite chair, but he also shows his wild side by tormenting his stuffed rat and is really good at leaping at his wand toy. He likes to play, and sometimes he lies in wait to leap out at us as we walk by. One of his favorite things is to lounge on the desk behind my laptop and gaze out the window. There is intelligence in his green eyes and I often wonder what he's thinking about.
Thank you, Second Chance - we love Cody!

Hey all,
Rufus is settling in just fine. At first there was some concerns about how Rufus would take our 13 year old Beagle but their first meeting was completely uneventful.
Rufus (whom I am thinking about changing to Jax Rufus Whisenhunt) is a PERFECT MATCH to our family. He surprised us in that he showed great manners in the house so the first night we put him on his doggie pillow in our bedroom and he did great. Since then he has spent every night with us on his bed in our bedroom.
He LOVES to play catch. We bought him several toys and one only made it one day. He has such a great personality and we love him very much. He has 2.5 acres of fenced yard to explore and he is loving it.
Thank you Second Chance for giving us a Second Chance at a great addition to our family. The Lord led us to Rufus. As we started our day we said a prayer that the Lord would help us find a dog that needs us as much as we need him.
Signed the Completely in Love with Rufus

Woof! I was once Dude, but now I go by Reggie the Dude. I was adopted February 10th and am absolutely loving my new home. I get lots of attention and am training VERY well. My mom and dad love me so much, and sometimes my mom spoils me a little too much. I like to sleep on big piles of laundry and looking at myself in the mirror (we think he may think it's his sister, Nellie). Everybody loves my white paws. They say it looks like I am wearing shoes! I couldn't be happier!
We are so grateful for Reggie (Dude)! He has been the greatest puppy we could ever ask for. He is learning so well and hardly ever potties anywhere besides the puppy pads and outside. He has already gained 3 pounds and is growing more and more everyday. We truly feel so lucky to have found Reggie when we did! We were so upset that we had to separate Reggie from his sister, Nellie and we hope she found a great new home. Thank you second chance!

To everyone at Second Chance,
My name was Luna while at your facility....It is now Gaby. I really love my new home. I get and give lots of hugs and kisses.
I am still a little frightened of new sounds or fast movements, but am learning to recognize some of them. I love to lay in the window seat in the front of the house and watch everything go by. I don't bark very much, which makes my new parents happy. I've been learning all sorts of new things.
Please see some pictures of me that are attached, showing me at my best.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to have a loving family.
Gaby (Luna)
